PART I: BJournal Publications

Following published papers have received frequent citations (more than 2000) in major international journals as shown by the Science Citation Index (Web of Science).  The methods have been also included in various technical and important industrial books as well as process simulators (i.e., HYSYS, ASPEN, PRO/II, DESGIN, etc.) with wide applications.  Also the methods were used by design engineers of major industry such as (Fluor, UOP, ExxonMobil, Chevron, API, etc.). As an example these methods have been used by Pratt & Whitney one of the world's biggest manufacturer of aircraft engines which their engineers used such methods for fuel specifications to perform their design calculations (J.B. Urquhart, May 2004 Report).

 

Funding received by organizations such as the American Petroleum Institute (API, Washington, D.C.), U.S. Department of Energy (Washington, D.C.), Petrofina (Brussels, Belgium), Fina Exploration Norway (Stavanger, Norway), SINTEF, Trondheim, Norway, Gas Research Institute (GRI, Chicago, U.S.), National Science Foundation (NSF, Washington, D.C.), NSERC Canada, Kuwait University and KFAS have been used to conduct the projects as presented in some of these publications. The projects were related to petroleum production and reservoir modeling as well as process modeling and development of fundamental thermodynamic relations for fluid properties needed in unit design and operation of chemical and petroleum related industries.
